In the wake of the Storm Of The Century (otherwise known as “The Day It Snowed A Lot, After The Last Day It Snowed A Lot, Before The Next Day When It Will Snow A Lot”), New Hampshire is stylin.
In front of my studio
Distinguished MacDowell artists Christhian and Naho take a nap…
Just hangin with some fruits. Ain’t no thang.
This year’s studio is tucked deep in the woods at the other end of the property. I walk down a long winding snowy path to get there, tuck myself in to its warm little ribs, and write write write.
Thanks to Sivan Butler-Rotholz for featuring me in her Saturday Poetry Series! I love the idea of a weekly intro to new poets. Now I have a new thing to read every week, instead of answering emails.
Erik Pearson shared some of the photos he took last week during the workshop and reading of ALL THE ROADS HOME, at Playwright’s Realm’s Next Edition Festival. Proof that we were actually working!
Director Adam Greenfield and I think deep thoughts. (Ex: “What will I eat on our next break?”)
Actors Hannah Cabell, Miriam Silverman, and Crystal Finn solve all of my problems for me.
Actor Joe Tippett and I discuss life, liberty, and public readings. Erik Pearson comes over to tell us to “look as if we’re getting along.”
After a week of hard work: the reading!
